Specifying sliding doors: what the Series 102 platform actually gives you
A practical look at our most specified window and door system, and the decisions worth making early.

Every sliding door decision follows from the opening: how wide it is, how much of it you want to disappear, and what the wall above can carry. Series 102 is a 102mm aluminium platform built around that conversation, and it covers sliding, stacking, awning, casement and fixed configurations, so a whole house can hold one architectural language.
Two, three or four panels
A two-panel door is the simplest arrangement: one fixed panel, one that slides. Three and four panel configurations open more of the wall, and a pocket sliding door hides the stile completely when it is parked inside the cavity.
The practical limit is usually panel weight and track length rather than the system itself, so it is worth settling early.

Four decisions that change the price and the lead time
- 01ConfigurationPanel count, which panel slides, and whether it stacks or pockets away.
- 02GlazingSingle, double, Low-E, laminated or acoustic, specified against BASIX and NatHERS.
- 03FinishThe powdercoat colour inside and out, chosen from the Colour Card.
- 04HardwareHandles and locking, selected to suit the door weight and how often it is used.
Certified, and documented before manufacture
Series 102 is made from 6063-T5 aluminium with a 102mm structure width, tested to AS 2047 with glazing to AS 1288. Every package is manufactured to approved plans, and we issue shop drawings for review so sizes, sightlines and hardware are agreed before anything is cut.
